I started Hotel Rates Direct because I watched someone I care about waste three weeks trying to book hotel rooms for her wedding. Three weeks of calls, transfers, and waiting for responses that never came. There had to be a better way.
Now we do this for hundreds of groups every year. Real people who pick up the phone, learn your event, and fight for the best rates. That’s it. That’s what we do.

The Frustration That Started It All
A few years ago, I was helping a friend book hotel rooms for her wedding. She had 45 guests coming from out of town and needed a room block at a hotel near the venue.
Simple enough, right?
She spent three weeks calling hotels, getting bounced between departments, filling out the same information over and over, waiting days for callbacks that never came. When she finally got quotes, they were all over the place. No one could explain what she was actually getting. And the moment she asked a question, she’d get transferred to someone who had no idea what she was talking about.
She was planning the biggest day of her life, and hotels were treating her like an inconvenience.
“Why is this so hard? Someone should just do this for you.”
That offhand comment stuck with me. Because she was right. Group hotel booking shouldn’t require a hospitality degree and three weeks of follow-ups. Someone should just do it for you.
So that’s what we built.

Hotel Rates Direct is a group hotel booking service. When you need 10 or more hotel rooms for a wedding, corporate event, sports tournament, family reunion, or any group gathering, we handle the entire process.
You tell us your destination, dates, and what you need. We reach out to hotels, negotiate group rates, compare options, and come back to you with a clear breakdown of your best choices. We handle the contract, coordinate with the hotel, and give your guests a simple link to book their rooms.
You don’t pay us anything. Hotels pay us a commission when your group books. Your rate stays the same whether you book directly or through us. We just do the work. Hotels love us because they don’t like working directly with groups who aren’t managed by professionals, so they are willing to pay us a commission to make the process smoother for all.

The big online travel agencies treat group bookings as an afterthought. They’re built for individual travelers clicking “Book Now.” When you have 30 people who need rooms, their systems fall apart. Then we go negotiate. We typically come back with 2-4 hotel options, each with group rates, availability, and the perks we secured. We explain the differences and help you decide what makes sense.
Once you choose, we finalize the contract and send you a booking link to share with your group. As rooms fill up, we keep you updated. If anything comes up, we handle it.
